Dr. Weaver completed his neurosurgical residency and fellowship at the University of Tennessee/Semmes-Murphey Clinic in Memphis, followed by a neuro-oncology fellowship with MD Anderson Cancer Center, University of Texas, where he focused on spine oncology and reconstructive spine surgery under the mentorship of Dr. Laurence Rhines.

Dr. Weaver completed his surgical internship with the University of Tennessee Department of Surgery in Memphis, TN after graduating from medical school magna cum laude from the Saint Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO.
