Memphis, TN - August 14, 2025 - OrthoSouth is proud to announce the addition of J.
Ross Bailey, MD, an orthopedic surgeon specializing in adult
reconstruction, to its team of expert providers. Dr. Bailey will begin seeing
patients on August 14, 2025.
Dr. Bailey brings advanced expertise in both primary
and complex revision joint replacement procedures, with a particular focus on
the knee and hip. He has extensive training in minimally invasive surgical
techniques and robotic surgery, and he is passionate about improving patient
outcomes and restoring both motion and quality of life.
A native of the region, Dr. Bailey earned his medical
degree from East Tennessee State University's Quillen College of Medicine
before completing his orthopedic surgery residency at Southern Illinois
University School of Medicine. He then completed a fellowship in Adult
Reconstruction at Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in
Jackson, Mississippi.
During residency, Dr. Bailey received multiple
teaching awards and engaged in orthopedic research, publishing in peer-reviewed
journals such as Arthroplasty Today, Hand, and the Journal of
Hand Surgery. He is a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee
Surgeons (AAHKS) and the Tennessee Medical Association.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Bailey enjoys golf,
hunting, fishing, and spending time with his wife and two children.
