Peter R. Henning, MD

Peter R. Henning, MD is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic hand and upper extremity surgeon at OrthoSouth. He treats hand pain, wrist pain, elbow pain, fractures, nerve compression, tendon problems, and other upper extremity conditions with non-surgical care and surgical treatment when needed. Dr. Henning sees patients at OrthoSouth in Memphis-Briarcrest, Germantown, Arlington, and Southaven.

Dr. Henning's practice focuses on restoring motion, strength, and function in the hand, wrist, and elbow. His fellowship training in orthopedic hand surgery supports a thoughtful approach to both common and complex upper extremity problems, including injuries, overuse conditions, nerve-related symptoms, and conditions that may benefit from surgical treatment.

Dr. Henning completed his orthopaedic hand fellowship in July 2021 at the Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center and his orthopaedic surgery residency at Campbell Clinic in Memphis, TN. He received his medical degree from Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI in 2015 and his undergratuate education from Marquette University in Milwaukee in 2011.

Dr. Henning has a long history of volunteerism, including Soles for Souls, Memphis Redbirds volunteer team coverage, Rhodes College and area highschool team physicals, and Saturday clinics for uninsured patients.
