Dr. Abrams is a fellowship trained interventional spine specialist. He completed his fellowship in Pain Medicine at Hershey S. Milton Medical Center, PennState Health in Hershey, PA and his surgical residency at Boonshoft School of Medicine, Wright State University-Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH. He is a graduate of UT Health Science Center in Memphis. Dr. Abrams received his B.S. in Chemistry from University of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Abrams gained much of his medical training in the military, where he served as a Flight Surgeon, Medical Director, and Operational Support Medicine Commander for several years before joining the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine as a staff physician for a few years prior to his fellowship.
In his free time, Dr. Abrams enjoys riding his motorcycle, playing basketball, and competitive shooting.

Dr. Brown understands the demand to optimize sports performance following an injury. He also understands the importance of quickly returning to work for the injured “weekend warrior.” He is the current team physician for Hutchison School and Germantown High School.
Dr. Brown loves spending time with his wife and two sons. He enjoys the outdoors and coaching his boys in their favorite sport. He serves on several committees and boards that promote positive growth in areas of youth, education and medicine within Memphis.

Originally from Virginia, Dr. Christian is a veteran athlete—playing multiple sports in high school and college. It was his early athletic experiences that initiated his interest in sports medicine. He has previously served as the physician representative on the Department of Labor’s Workers’ Compensation Cost Containment Committee. Currently, he resides and practices in Mississippi, and has been named DeSoto’s Best Orthopaedist multiple times. Dr. Christian evaluates and treats all areas of orthopaedics, and his surgical practice specializes in knee and shoulder surgery.
When he is not with patients, Dr. Christian enjoys reading or working in his garden. He also enjoys traveling and spending quality time with his family.

Dr. Cole is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with a certificate of added qualification in hand surgery. He treats problems from the shoulder to the fingertip and routinely makes himself available for urgent care evaluation of acute injuries. Dr. Cole served as the 2011 President of the Tennessee Orthopaedic Society (TOS). During that time, the TOS was awarded the State Society of the Year Award by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Cole is involved in the Memphis non-profit scene and previously served as the 2016 President of Carnival Memphis. In this demanding role, he coordinated the organization’s selection and support for three children’s charities. He also served as Chairman of the Board in 2017 and remains involved at this time.
Away from the office, he enjoys staying active and spending time with his family and friends. Travel is a priority and offers the ability to spend quality time with both. He is a frustrated golfer but won’t give up the game any time soon.

We are deeply saddened to share that Dr. Timothy Krahn passed away on Dec. 24, 2020. Dr. Krahn dedicated 28 years to providing the highest level of service to OrthoSouth and excellent care to thousands of patients. We remember him as an exceedingly gifted surgeon, as well as a beloved husband, father, friend and physician partner.

Dr. Krahn is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine. He received his training from the prestigious Jewett Clinic in Winter Park, Florida—a facility known for its pioneering leadership within orthopedic surgery. With 25 years of experience, Dr. Krahn believes that orthopaedic care should be tailored to the individual—ranging from conservative treatment to arthroscopic tissue-sparing techniques. He is passionate about caring for patients of all ages with knee and shoulder conditions. Dr. Krahn served as the medical director of OrthoMemphis for over 15 years and as the team doctor for Christian Brothers High School for 21 years.
Dr. Krahn is married with two children and a stepdaughter, all of whom have been involved in competitive sports. In his free time, he enjoys spending time at the lake with his family as well as scuba diving. After his children are out of the house and off to college, Dr. Krahn hopes to get back to playing more golf.

Dr. Neel has been practicing for more than 24 years – treating adults and children with bone and soft tissue tumors as well as adults with hip and knee arthritis. He currently serves as chief for the Orthopaedic division at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Dr. Neel lectures to national and international audiences on the management of skeletally immature patients with bone cancer, the use of oncologic prosthesis in adults with massive bone loss and the management of osteonecrosis.
Dr. Neel spends his free time with his wife, Liz, of 30 years and 2 children, Elisabeth Ann, who is in the adult program at Madonna Learning Center and Robert, who is a first year medical student. He also enjoys playing golf and following Alabama football. He received his medical degree from Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine. He completed orthopaedic surgery residency at Ohio State University in Columbus Ohio. He then completed a fellowship in sports medicine and shoulder surgery at Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in Jackson, Mississippi and the Tulane Institute of Sports Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. During his fellowship training, Dr. Pokabla served as a team physician for Tulane University. He is currently an associate master instructor for AANA shoulder courses at the Orthopaedic Learning Center in Chicago, IL. Currently, he serves as the team physician for Arlington High School and as a preceptor for physician assistant students at Christian Brothers University. He is also a board member of the Memphis Medical Society.

Dr. Simard is a dual board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacement, shoulder and arthroscopic surgery. Dr. Jonathan Stuart is an accredited and highly skilled physician with experience in physical medicine and rehabilitation. He has extensive knowledge in non-operative Regenerative Medicine, Interventional Pain Management, and Electrodiagnostics.
He is originally from Memphis, TN, where he attended the University of Memphis and completed his undergraduate studies earning a bachelor’s degree in Biology. He then obtained his medical degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine, located in Blacksburg, Virginia. Dr. Stuart received the distinguished Armed Forces Health Professions Scholarship and subsequently completed an internship in family medicine at the Naval Hospital, Jacksonville, Florida.

Dr. Williams is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in hand and upper extremity surgery, including peripheral nerve and microvascular techniques. He also treats common upper extremity disorders such as trigger thumb, trigger finger and carpal tunnel syndrome with a particular focus on endoscopic carpal tunnel surgery. Dr. Williams frequently treats injuries to the elbow, wrist and hand, including distal radius and forearm fractures, scaphoid fractures and nonunions, lacerations to nerves or tendons and elbow fractures or dislocations.

As a Physician Assistant, Mary Beth works directly with the surgeons of OrthoSouth assisting in clinic, surgery and patient education. Her job as a PA-C is to extend the care of the Physicians and work with them to provide care to patients in clinic and in surgery. She works closely in surgery with the doctors to provide exceptional care to surgical patients. In the office, Mary Beth sees patients for their post-operative appointments, annual rechecks, follow up complaints, and perform ultrasound guided intra-articular injection to patients with hip pain.
In her spare time, Mary Beth enjoys lifting weights, hiking with her husband and playing with her two dogs.

He was born and raised in Memphis where he attended Arlington High School before going away to college at Austin Peay State University. After graduation, he returned home to attend the Physician Assistant Program at University of TN Health Science Center.
Connor lives with his wife and their two dogs, a six year old Golden Retriever named Yadi and a Great Dane puppy named Piper. He is a huge sports fan, specifically baseball and the St. Louis Cardinals, but is also a fan of the Memphis Tigers and New Orleans Saints. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing with his two dogs, lifting weights and working out, and playing golf.

In her spare time, Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband, their friends and pets. She loves to hike, travel, and paint. She also enjoys participating in 5k races for charities such as st. Jude and local fundraisers.
Lacy is a Certified Physician Assistant who joined Dr. Pokabla in our practice July 2017. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Tennessee in 2012. She then completed her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies at Christian Brothers University in May 2017. Lacy is certified by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants and is licensed to practice in Tennessee and Mississippi specializing in shoulder and sports medicine.
Catherine is a nurse practitioner with specialized graduate education in providing orthopedic health care services to people of all ages. She practices at all OrthoSouth locations as well as surgery center and hospitals affiliated with OrthoSouth. Catherine acts as the first assist in surgery and as a clinical practitioner.
Catherine is native Memphian having graduated from Hutchison School. She is a wife and mother of 2 young girls. Outside of work she enjoys calligraphy and gardening and is a member of Independent Presbyterian Church.
Victoria completed her Physician Assistant training at UTHSC, a new and esteemed program known for its high-quality education and focus on teaching a comprehensive background in primary and specialty care medicine. One of the reasons Victoria became a PA was to improve access to healthcare which she demonstrates by functioning as an extension of Dr. Daniel Fletcher’s practice. She is committed to lifelong learning and advancing the knowledge of the PA profession, and has a passion for patient care.
On a personal note, Victoria enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her family, her friends, and her dog.
Maria is a Certified Physician Assistant working with Dr. David Deneka at our Briarcrest and Southaven clinics. She focuses primarily in the areas of knee, shoulder, and sports medicine.
Away from the clinic, Maria enjoys hiking, traveling, riding horses, and spending time with her husband.
Jackie is a certified physician assistant working with Dr. Christian Fahey. Jackie completed her undergraduate studies at the Pennsylvania State University and completed her first Masters in Medical Laboratory Science at Thomas Jefferson University in 2015. She returned to graduate school in 2018 to complete her second Masters in Physician Assistant Studies at Christian Brothers University. In her leisure time, Jackie enjoys traveling, cooking and rooting on the Philadelphia sports teams.
Kelly has 11 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, 2 years in orthopaedic surgery, and 10 years of plastic and reconstructive surgery that includes 3 years of head, neck, and breast cancer reconstruction. She is also experienced in cometic surgical and non-surgical procedures. She also spent 2 years in nursing education and 3 years in public health on top of her 10 years of Obstetric and Gynecology experience.
Kelly is married with 2 kids, 3 grandkids, and a step daughter. She enjoys collecting Shih Tzus and has accumulated 4 of the fur babies. Kelly enjoys spending time quilting, hiking, kayaking, biking, reading, traveling and visiting out of state friends and family. Her husband has her in training to watch and enjoy football and golf with him.
Kelly and her family support multiple causes through church donations, Veterans Organizations, college scholarships through Tennessee Army National Guard Officer Association, food pantries, GoodWill and most recently animal shelters.
Ginger has been practicing orthopedics since 2010. She primarily sees patients with sports injuries, including knees and shoulders. As an avid athlete, Mrs. Warmath understands how it feels to be sidelined with an injury and the importance of getting back to your activity of choice.
Outside of work, Ginger has served the Memphis community through volunteer work with the Exchange Club Family Center and the Children’s Museum of Memphis. She enjoys playing tennis, traveling and spending weekends at the lake with her husband and 2 sons.
Dr. Wilkinson was originally a post-surgical orthopedic nurse before continuing his education and earning his advanced degrees. He has practiced in primary care and pain management before proceeding into orthopedics and spine specialties.
Dr. Wilkinson continues to be a merit badge counselor for Scouting and continues to develop techniques for wilderness and rural medicine. He has been a consultant for disaster preparedness in an organizational setting and enjoys reading. Scientific journals and technological innovations are some of his favorite topics of study.
