Physical Therapy Technician

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for assisting physical therapists and occupational therapists with clinical and non-clinical tasks to make the patient's experience successful and therapists' schedules flow smoothly.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with the management of Physical and Occupational Therapy patients
• Manage patient flow escorting the patients from check in to the treatment area
• Monitor patient exercise programs under the direction of the therapist
• Record patient progress and assist with documentation
• Apply modalities including hot/cold packs, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation
• Organize and clean the gym and treatment rooms per schedule and as required
• Scan therapy charts and complete discharge summaries Inventory and organize therapy clinical supplies
• Schedule patient appointments
