Dr. Eager is a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon practicing at OrthoSouth. Dr Eager is one of a few surgeons in the country to be dual-fellowship trained in spine surgery and musculoskeletal oncology. His unique expertise enables him to treat a variety of complex spinal disorders as well as adult and pediatric bone and soft tissue tumors.
Dr. Eager specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of spinopelvic disorders, including degenerative spine surgery, spine trauma, tumors of the spine, adult spinal deformity, revision spine surgery, and minimally invasive surgery techniques. His additional expertise includes surgical management of bone and soft tissue sarcoma, skeletal/spinal metastatic disease, and complex limb salvage to include hip/knee/pelvis reconstruction.
Dr. Eager believes in a conservative approach to spine surgery, incorporating nonsurgical options when appropriate. He is committed to improving the quality of life for his patients with an emphasis on providing a tailored treatment strategy to meet the individual needs of each patient. Dr. Eager completed a combined orthopaedic and neurosurgical complex spine surgery fellowship at the prestigious Texas Medical Center in Houston, TX. He completed his musculoskeletal oncology fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. He earned his medical degree and completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (TX).
In addition to his role as a physician, Dr. Eager is a licensed commercial pilot. Outside of his clinical duties, Dr. Eager enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children, reading, cooking, flying, and golfing.
Dr. Eager is currently seeing patients at OrthoSouth Germantown, Bartlett, and Memphis-Poplar Ave. clinics.
