Qualifications

High School graduate or equivalent.

Excellent customer service skills with the ability to project a professional, pleasant image while interacting with others; must demonstrate tact and diplomacy in interpersonal interactions.

Prior knowledge of insurance plans and patient registration preferred.

Previous experience in a front desk or customer support role is preferred.

One year of work experience, preferably in a medical environment.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail is necessary

Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.

Ability to multi-task, self-motivated and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Advanced level of computer skills required, including electronic medical records, fax servers, internet, spreadsheets, and Word/Excel

Ability to responsibly handle and maintain confidential information
Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and complete check-in and check-out procedures.

Manage appointments using computerized systems, ensuring accuracy in bookings.

Verify insurance benefits and collect co-payments, co-insurances and patient balances.

Competently and accurately obtains patient information, completes data entry, scans and maintains patient records.

Handle patient inquiries, requests, and appointments with professionalism and courtesy.

Maintain an organized front desk area, ensuring all materials are stocked and accessible.
