DESCRIPTION:

The Workers’ Compensation Manager will provide oversight and leadership for the workers’ compensation team and serve as a liaison between the clinic, employers, injured workers, and others involved in the patient’s care. This candidate will directly supervise the workers’ compensation team and assist in marketing and building community relationships for our program. This candidate will also be responsible for seeking out additional growth opportunities in the area of workers compensation for the OM Division.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School graduate or equivalent GED
  • Previous supervisory/leadership experience required
  • Minimum two (2) years prior workers compensation experience
  • Marketing and/or sales experience preferred
  • Fundamental knowledge of the insurance industry, claims, and the insurance legal and regulatory environment is required
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to project a professional, pleasant image while interacting with others; must demonstrate tact and diplomacy in interpersonal interactions
  • Advanced level of computer skills required, including electronic medical records, fax servers, internet, spreadsheets, and Word/Excel
  • Ability to responsibly handle and maintain confidential information

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise the workers’ compensation team
  • Develop, review, and oversee the implementation of policies and procedures related to the workers’ compensation department
  • Coordinate marketing events, visit off site employers, and build business opportunities
  • Serve as a liaison between employers, clinic teams, and injured patients
  • Abide by policies and procedures set forth by OrthoSouth, licensing and accreditation bodies, OSHA, and other governing bodies as applicable
  • Other tasks as assigned
