Physician Liaison

  • Fulltime Monday – Friday 


The Physician Liaison is responsible for (i) the marketing of OrthoSouth services to referring physicians, (ii) support and maintenance of existing relationships, and (iii) the building of new referring physician relationships. Works under the general direction of the Director of Marketing (DM)


  • Act as a marketing representative for OrthoSouth, maintaining an up-to-date understanding of the practice, its competition, unique aspects of the practice that differentiate it from competitors, office logistics, services or procedures to promote, competitive advantages, desired patient demographic, etc.
  • In consultation with DM, ascertain the marketing needs of the practice and develop, implement, and manage a marketing strategy and program targeting referring physicians, with the objective of increasing referrals to the practice to grow patient volumes and practice revenues.
  • Identify targets and goals that fit strategically into the overall marketing plan.
  • Meet with referring physicians and clinic staff to promote OrthoSouth.
  • Maintain log of weekly contacts made (minimum of 30 physician office visits expected per month), including a summary of the dialogue with each contact and any feedback provided; furnish log to DM on a regular/weekly basis.
  • Manage data and interactions utilizing CRM software.
  • Meet regularly with DM, OrthoSouth physicians and staff; provide updates on progress made toward marketing plan goals.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with referring physicians and their staff.
  • Build and sustain relationships between OrthoSouth providers and referring physicians.
  • Design and arrange for printing of advertising and marketing materials for use and distribution in the field, including brochures, fliers, business cards, stationery, note cards, and referral pads.
  • Furnish marketing materials to referring physicians; replenish supply when necessary.
  • Promote new technology and services.
  •  Promote special events.
  • Respond to referring physician inquiries and complaints.
  • Requires use of personal vehicle for travel within a 100-mile radius of Memphis, TN area.

  • Knowledge of medical office procedures
  • Familiarity with medical terminology



  • Sales and marketing experience (3+ years) required
  • Medical industry experience (medical sales or medical office administration) desired



  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred



The Physician Liaison plays a key role as the link between OrthoSouth and referring physicians. It is imperative that the Physician Liaison possess an interest in and a thorough understanding of both the clinical and front office aspects of the practice in order to develop a successful marketing plan and to effectively represent OrthoSouth’s brand identify and capabilities when marketing to referring physicians.
