We are deeply saddened to share that Dr. J. Barton Williams passed away on February 8, 2021. Dr. Williams was a gifted hand surgeon and beloved partner, colleague, and friend. He will be missed tremendously by all who knew him and remembered for his generosity, selflessness, and unceasing determination to make his world a better place.

Dr. Williams is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in hand and upper extremity surgery, including peripheral nerve and microvascular techniques. He also treats common upper extremity disorders such as trigger thumb, trigger finger and carpal tunnel syndrome with a particular focus on endoscopic carpal tunnel surgery. Dr. Williams frequently treats injuries to the elbow, wrist and hand, including distal radius and forearm fractures, scaphoid fractures and nonunions, lacerations to nerves or tendons and elbow fractures or dislocations.
In his free time, Dr. Williams loves to watch the Tennessee Volunteers, travel and spend time with his family and friends.
