Clinical Assistant

Workdays/Hours:                  Monday-Friday 7:45am-4:45pm (some Saturday’s req.)

Date Position Available:        IMMEDIATELY

 


 

Qualifications:  Minimum one-year medical office experience preferred; Excellent communication skills, both written and oral; Ability to multi-task; Self-motivated and flexible. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and intermediate computer skills required; Ability to accurately obtain and interpret patient information; Understanding of insurance guidelines; Ability to work in strong coordination with physicians, medical assistants, and other clinical/administrative staff; Assist in meeting/exceeding department goals; Ability to work well under pressure; Must have an outgoing personality, enjoy interaction with all types of people, and always possess professionalism.

Duties:  Assist patients, checking in and out of clinic; schedule appointments and handle workers compensation and private insurance pre-certification; Follow-up on all email correspondence; Communicate with case managers, physicians, insurance companies, and employers; Verify and document approvals; Fax and route information accordingly; Prepare patient charts for upcoming appointments, complete and fax disability paperwork, interview patients, accurately document in the electronic medical record, take and record patient vitals, coordinate with medical assistants on daily tasks; Perform other duties as assigned and outlined by department manager.
